The objective of the study is to analyze the role and effectiveness of Media in Distance Education. The major Medias such as Print Media, Radio Media and TV media has been considered for study as they have become a part of the tradition in the middle class sector. The effective medium such as Internet is not included since it doesn't cover the rural sector as effectively as others. However the contribution of such mediums to Distance Education can not be Under- estimated and really are valuable.
