The research reported here involves an empirical analysis that investigates the imperative quality factors (IQFs) of the Quality Management System (QMS)-ISO 9001:2000. The research examines the influence of implemention of QMS on organizational performance. The study also examines the association between the organizational characteristics and the IQFs of QMS and the association between organizational characteristics and the performance indicators of organization. Level scale and change scale have been used in the analysis to measure and investigate the perception of respondents participated in the empirical study. The survey was carried out in the Arab manufacturing firms on the quality systems. The objective is to determine the levels of presence of IQFs in a sample of ISO 9000 certified firms. The research also focussed on the effects and influence in the IQFs following the implementation of the QMS, performance indicators of organization (PIOs), analysing the relationships between the attributes in manufacturing firms. This research reveals many interesting information on the critical success factors of ISO 9000:2000.
