This book is as a result of a number of hours spent in the Laboratory doing research. The motivation being the advancement in technology which has made communication simple, cheap and ubiquitous (pervasive); resulting in a paradigm shift from tethered networks to infrastructureless networks. The main challenge however with the mobile devices is the constraint of energy resource. Communications technology has taken a big leap in advancement as opposed to battery technology hence the need to conserve the energy stored in the batteries. This was the main focus of our work which tried to find an optimum and the most efficient performance throughput by rationalizing energy consumption of the participating devices.
