Christopher Reeve lives, and was born in Bungay. He is the curator of Bungay Museum and was Keeper of Art for Bury St Edmunds Borough Council. His other books include Paranormal Suffolk: True Ghost Stories (also publshed by Amberley), A Strange And Terrible Wonder: The Story of the Black Dog of Bungay, Bungay to Beccles, The Town Recorder: A History of Bungay in Photographs and Bungay to Beccles: Volume II. He has also contributed several entries on to the current DNB.

Author Colin Brady, curator of collections for the Hermitage Museum, has selected from the archives images that trace the Hermitage's evolution from a personal residence to its current state as a museum. Through this visual narrative of the gardens, home, and collection, the museum hopes to convey the importance of the Sloane legacy in Norfolk.
